My Story...
I grew up in country NSW (Northern Rivers) and after finishing school & moving around quite a bit, in 1996 I finally settled down for 16 years in Sydney. It was then, in my early 20's that I chose to study a variety of different alternative healing modalities & complimentary medicine, first at Nature Care College & later with various other colleges & organisations. I also participated in some intense & life transforming self development workshops such as the "Landmark" Education trainings that helped me to better understand who I was and what I wanted to do.
A major turning point in my life was when I met Karina Schelde, founder of the Soul Voice® method, where you use the voice as a sound healing instrument. I was attending the Woodford Folk Festival in 2005 when we first met & connected. From the moment I heard her shamanic sounds and overtones, l knew I had found what I hadn't even been looking for! My whole body reacted strongly to the sounds, I broke out in goosebumps & received the strong message that I must do this 'voice work'. However, I was scared of being seen & heard... of what people would think of me... I was not good enough, not worthy, too little, second best, too much... arrrgggh! The list of reasons why I couldn't do it went on & on and the inner critic was very strong.
I had the opportunity to spend more time with Karina & marveled at how self expressed, passionate & alive she was in every moment. I wanted what she had! I received a powerful Soul Voice® session from Karina in 2006 and that was the catalyst for me to fly to New Zealand to participate in my first 2 Day Soul Voice® workshop a few months later. It totally blew me away how powerful and freeing it was to use my own voice in a way I never had before. I then went on to participate in the 5 day Advanced Sound Initiation Training and after that, the Soul Voice® Practitioner Certification Program and Teacher Training Program.
I have participated in, organised & assisted Karina with numerous workshops in Australia, New Zealand & around the globe. I became a fully Certified Soul Voice® Practitioner in 2010 and an Accredited Soul Voice® Teacher in 2019 after a further 3 years of training and development. The Soul Voice® work is unique, intense, extremely in-depth, and comes from a grounded yet expansive & soulful space. It's not something one would complete unless they are fully committed to do the work on themselves before & while they work with others. The training is spread over years and in a way that we as Practitioners & Teachers can truly embody what we facilitate and teach because we have been through it.
After traveling in Australia and abroad & living in different parts of Australia, I finally moved back to the Northern Rivers in 2016. I have done numerous trainings over the past 3 decades, including Swedish Massage, ThetaHealing, Aromatherapy, Meditation Facilitation, Holistic Counseling, Corporate Seated Massage, Baby Massage, Ho'oponopono, Medical Intuitive Practitioner, Energetic & Spiritual Healing, Unlimited Abundance, Australian Bush Flower Essences, Tony Robbins, William Whitecloud's 'Create Your Destiny' and many other short courses too. I use a combination of all my trainings, experiences, knowledge and gifts, when working with clients and students.
I am grateful to be able to facilitate the 2 day Soul Voice® workshop, 6 day Advanced Sound Initiation Training, Wellness for Kids with Soul Voice® and various other workshops regularly. Since 2017, I have facilitated a monthly group Sound Healing journey where the only instrument I use is my voice.
